Two main classifications exist for dogs: purebred and mixed breed. Purebred dogs belong to one of the 124 recognized breeds, which are further organized into seven categories: hound, working, terrier, toy, sporting, non-sporting, and herding. Conversely, mixed-breed dogs offer thousands of unique combinations. Regardless of their lineage, each dog possesses a unique personality.
